Several factors affecting the output of vertical mills
Date:2024-12-30 Browse:33

  1. The influence of wear on the grinding output of grinding rollers and grinding disc liners

From the working principle of the grinding machine, it can be seen that the vertical mill grinds the material by applying grinding pressure to the material through the grinding roller during operation. Therefore, the wear of the grinding roller surface and the grinding disc surface lining plate will become more severe with the extension of operation time, and the shape of the grinding roller and grinding disc will become uneven and irregular, resulting in a decrease in grinding efficiency and a significant decrease in output. In this case, the wear of the lining plate should be checked regularly. When the wear is severe, it should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid other problems such as excessive vibration caused by the wear of the lining plate, which may affect the host. The service life of the lining plate can be extended by grinding the roller and lowering the height of the material blocking ring appropriately.

  2. The influence of wear of the material blocking ring on the grinding yield

The function of the material blocking ring is to ensure that the material is fully ground on the grinding disc. The height of the material blocking ring determines the thickness of the material layer. When the thickness of the material layer is high, the vibration of the mill will increase, and the coarse powder will not be fully ground and will enter the external circulation under the action of centrifugal force. This increases the total amount of feed into the mill, reduces the hourly output, and the mill vibration is large. When the material blocking ring is too low, it is difficult to ensure a stable thickness of the material layer. Under the action of tension and the self weight of the grinding roller, there will be opportunities for intermittent roller disc direct contact and impact, causing vibration and inability to produce normally. So, with the continuous wear of the roller disc, we continuously reduce the height of the material blocking ring according to the production situation until the material blocking ring is completely cut off.

  3. The influence of nozzle ring wear on grinding yield

The main function of the nozzle ring is to change the wind direction through the guide vanes, ensuring that the airflow rotates in the same direction. The inclination angle, height, and wear condition of the guide vanes all have an impact on the airflow. The angle of the air guide plate determines the time for the air material to reach the powder selection area from separation, and the length of time affects the internal working conditions of the mill. The damage of the guide vanes will result in uneven distribution of air flow through the wind ring, preventing the formation of a stable upward airflow. The airflow will become turbulent, resulting in weak gas carrying capacity. The material will return to the grinding disc or fall into the scraping chamber at the bottom of the nozzle ring, causing uneven thickness of the material layer and increasing circulation, which will affect the output of the mill table.

  4. The influence of material baffle wear on the production of polar grinding

According to the wear condition, adjust the height of the material baffle regularly. It can scrape the material on the grinding disc flat, stabilize the material layer, and ensure that the material is evenly ground; It can effectively protect the grinding machine body from wear and tear.

  5. The influence of hydraulic system pressure on mill output

When other factors remain constant, the grinding pressure is directly proportional to the output. The higher the grinding pressure, the greater the positive pressure acting on the material on the bed, and the better the crushing effect. But excessive tension will increase the probability of causing vibration, and the motor current will also increase accordingly. Therefore, operators need to consider the set value of tension force based on the material's grindability, yield, fineness indicators, as well as the formation of the material bed and the control of thickness and vibration. Malfunction of hydraulic system valves, abnormal pressure switches, or internal leaks can cause a decrease in tension force, and the pressure value in the nitrogen cylinder accumulator cannot meet the requirements, all of which will affect the hourly production. Using each downtime, we check the nitrogen cylinder pressure to ensure it is within the specified range. During production, check the quantity in the return oil pipeline of each hydraulic cylinder to determine its leakage situation.
